Manor Gardens & Gildredge Park
Manor Gardens & Gildredge Park is a beautiful area of parks, formal pleasure gardens and other facilities just west of the town centre of Eastbourne.
Facilities in the Garden & Park
Manor Gardens is the more formal area and has different gardens with open grassed areas, a pond, a Hermitage, an Italian Pergola, the Labyrinth, plus tennis courts and a skate park.
Gildredge Park has a larger grassed area plus a wooded area. There are also two cafes, more tennis courts and a bowls club. Dogs are allowed to roam free in the Park.
Aim of The Friends of Manor Gardens and Gildredge Park
Our main aim is to improve the Garden & Park for the enjoyment of all who visit. In order to do this, the Steering Group, on behalf of the Friends of Manor Gardens and Gildredge Park, liaises closely with the Council, their Contractors, Neighbourhood First and other interested bodies. The Friends are appraised of these actions via the regular Bulletin (see News page).
Getting involved
The Friends are a very active and friendly group and we are always happy to welcome new Friends and potential volunteers to help us in our activities to promote and enhance the Gardens and Park.
